Stop the Hustle Cycle. Build a consistently profitable business without burning yourself out to get there.

A 13-week program for service-based business owners ready to stop the hustle cycle, earn more, and build a business on a real foundation.

A riverbed flowing over solid ground — anchoring the metaphor of steady flow built on a stable foundation A river that holds its course — flow built on solid ground.

You've worked hard for this business. So why does it still feel this unstable?

You did the thing. You left the job, or you grew past the side hustle, and you built something real — clients who trust you, work you're proud of, a name people refer. By every outside measure, you made it. So why does the ground beneath you still feel like it could give way at any moment?

Maybe it looks like this: a good month arrives, a burst of revenue, a wave of new clients — and then it's gone, and you're scrambling again, back to behind, wondering where the momentum went and whether the next wave is coming at all. You celebrate, then you panic, on a loop.

Or maybe it's the other version: you never stop. Nights, weekends, the laptop at the kitchen table after the kids are down. You keep pushing because pushing is the only thing that's ever worked, and the moment you ease off, you're certain it all slows down. You're not behind on money. You're behind on rest, and you can't see a way out.

Both of these feel like personal failures. Neither of them is. They're the same machine running two different ways — and you can't out-discipline a machine you haven't named.

Why does it feel like I'm always either starting over or running on empty?

A dry riverbed showing solid ground against deep cracks where water drains away — the foundation diagnosis Where the bed is solid, the water holds. Where it cracks, it disappears.

Here's what's actually going on.

You don't have a hustle problem. And you don't need another strategy, offer, or "this is the thing that'll finally work" idea. What you have is a foundation problem.

Picture a riverbed. When the ground underneath is solid, water flows steady and sustainable. When it's uneven or full of gaps, that same water either floods everything at once or disappears into the cracks.

That's what's happening in your business. You're pouring in effort, ideas, and energy — but without solid ground, it either floods  or stalls.  Both are versions of the same thing: the Hustle Cycle. And no amount of "trying harder" fixes a foundation problem — it just makes the flooding, or the stalling, happen faster.

This is what your business looks like with a solid foundation underneath it.

01

You know which ideas to pursue

A clear vision that filters the noise, so you stop chasing every shiny opportunity and act on the few that actually fit.

02

Your offers priced with confidence

Packages built to be genuinely profitable — priced from your numbers, not from fear or guesswork.

03

You know your numbers without anxiety

A simple financial picture you can read at a glance, so money becomes information instead of dread.

04

You have a schedule that fits your real life

Capacity planned around the life you actually live — caregiving, rest, the whole of it — not against it.

05

You market and sell on a rhythm, not in a panic

A steady cadence that keeps clients coming, so you're never frantically refilling an empty pipeline.

06

Being the CEO you already are

Decisions made from identity and data, not reaction — the quiet authority that holds the whole thing steady.

client story

Marlee JamesFounder of Reviving Roots · Minneapolis

Marlee James is the founder of Reviving Roots, a holistic mental health and wellness space centering Black wellness in Minneapolis — and a longtime client of Stephanie's. In fact, the patterns Stephanie saw in working with Marlee over the years are part of what inspired Focus + Flow Foundations in the first place.

When Marlee and Stephanie started working together, Reviving Roots was running on a membership model that looked great on paper — but the numbers told a different story. A hard look at the financial reality led to a pivot: away from the membership model and toward what was already working — drop-in therapy sessions, community workshops, and retreats. The mission didn't change. The way Marlee delivered on it did.

That same foundation-first approach now shapes how Marlee runs her business day to day. She built a financial model she revisits before every major decision, brought on a clinical director so she could focus on her zone of genius, and restructured her schedule around roughly 20 hours a week — intentionally, as a working parent of two young kids. She even built quarterly "seasonal Sabbaths" into the business model: a full week off every quarter, planned for in advance.

That same kind of grounded, foundational support is exactly what Focus + Flow Foundations is built to give you.

Is this program right for you?

This is for you if —

  • You've been at this long enough to know what you're doing — but something still isn't clicking
  • You're tired of months that feel wildly different from each other and you're ready for consistency
  • You can feel the burnout creeping in, and you know something has to change before it catches up with you
  • You have more ideas than you know what to do with — and no clear way to choose between them
  • You're ready to stop running your business on instinct and start running it with intention

This isn't for you if —

  • You haven't worked with clients yet or made your first sale — this program assumes you have some business experience to build from
  • You're looking for a done-for-you solution that doesn't require you to show up and do the work
  • You want a quick fix — this is a foundation, not a shortcut
  • You're not ready to look honestly at your offers, your numbers, or how you're spending your time

A note from Stephanie

I started out as a freelancer and contractor, taking on work that was meaningful to me — but it was built around my caregiving, rather than something I was building with intention. I wasn't planning to become a business owner. I just kept getting drawn to the creativity of it, and to the idea that I could build something that fit my life, instead of building my life around something else.

I got my MBA because I wanted real business skills, and because I wanted to work with entrepreneurs doing meaningful things in the world. That combination — strategy and impact — became the foundation of Spark Good.

But even with an MBA, even with years of experience, I had the same gaps you might have. I looked at my finances once a year, around tax time. I didn't adjust my capacity for the seasons of my life. And I burned out — more than I'd like to admit.

About two years ago, between my own experience and my work with hundreds of entrepreneurs, I started noticing a pattern — a clear distinction between the business owners who broke out of the hustle cycle and the ones who stayed stuck in it. I created a framework for what I saw and called it the Sustainable CEO Blueprint, and I started teaching it.

But I learned something important along the way: that operating rhythm doesn't hold up if it's built on a faulty foundation. If you're planning your capacity but don't actually know how you're spending your time and energy, the plan falls apart. If you don't know which offers are actually profitable, your focus falls apart. The rhythm can't hold if the ground underneath it isn't solid. That's when Focus + Flow Foundations was born.

— Stephanie

The longer you wait, the more ground you lose.

Every week you stay in the hustle cycle, the riverbed erodes a little more.

Another month of inconsistent revenue. Another project started and quietly abandoned. Another stretch of overwork that ends in a crash — and a recovery period that costs you momentum you didn't have to spare.

This isn't about pressure but it is about the honest math of staying stuck.

Because here's what doesn't change on its own: the feast-or-famine pattern, the scattered offers, the financial anxiety, the schedule that was never really yours to begin with. Those things don't resolve themselves with time. They just become more entrenched — and harder to untangle the longer they go unaddressed.

You didn't start your business to feel like this. And you don't have to keep running it this way.

The foundation you build in these 13 weeks is the foundation your business grows from for years.

There is no better time to build it than now.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm not sure this is right for me. How do I know?

If you've run a business — whether it's the one you have now or one you've had in the past — and you've experienced what it's like to make sales, then yes, this program is built for you. That experience matters, even if right now you're working on a new offer or a new program and feel like you're starting fresh in some ways.

This program is for business owners whose revenue and energy feel like a rollercoaster — capable, experienced, but missing the foundation that makes growth sustainable. If you're brand new and haven't worked with clients or made a sale yet, this isn't the right starting point for you yet.

What if I don't even know what to focus on?

That's the first pillar. "Get Grounded in Your Vision" exists precisely because most owners are stuck choosing between too many directions. We start by narrowing, on purpose, before we build anything else.

My numbers aren't organized. Is that a dealbreaker?

No — it's normal, and it's exactly what "Own Your Numbers" walks you through. You don't need a clean spreadsheet to begin. You need a willingness to look. We build the financial picture together, from wherever you're starting.

Will this just add more pressure to my plate?

The opposite is the goal. We plan around your real capacity from the start, and "Understand Your Capacity" is its own pillar. Sessions are bi-weekly, every call is recorded, and the schedule is designed to flex around a full life.

Will this actually help me make more money?

Yes - it is designed to do so.  Profitable, confidently-priced offers and a steady marketing rhythm are direct levers on revenue. We can't promise a specific number but the work targets the things that move it.

Do I need to make every live call?

No. The live calls are valuable, but every one is recorded and the workbook is self-paced. Plenty of owners attend what they can and catch the rest on their own schedule.

I'll be on vacation this summer. Does it make sense to start now?

Yes — and honestly, it's a great time to start. Because this program is designed to flex around your schedule rather than the other way around, a week or two away doesn't derail anything. Watch the recordings when you're back, work through your deliverable for that pillar at your own pace, and you're right back on track.

In fact, summer is often when business owners finally have a little breathing room to think about their foundation instead of just reacting to the next thing. Starting now means that by the time things pick back up in the fall, you're already building from solid ground instead of starting the season the same way you started the last one.

I've invested in programs that didn't work. Why would this be different?

Because most programs hand you better tactics on top of a shaky foundation, and tactics drain away through the cracks. This works on the foundation itself — vision, offers, numbers, capacity, rhythms, identity — so what you build afterward actually holds.
